This amazing museum has been open since 1899, and it currently has more than 20,000 works of art on permanent display. Saint Sophia’s Cathedral

Kiev is known for its absolutely stunning architecture. There are a number of churches and historically relevant buildings to see in the city. The most iconic of these buildings is Saint Sophia’s Cathedral. This stunning church was originally constructed in the early 11th century. It officially became the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ukraine in 1990.

 

National Olympic Sport Complex

Kiev is known for having some of the most dedicated soccer fans in the world. While there are several spots in the city to catch a game, none of them are able to top the atmosphere provided at the National Olympic Sport Complex. This huge 70,000-seat stadium is the permanent home to the top club team in Ukraine, FC Dynamo Kiev. In addition to top-notch soccer games, the National Olympic Sport Complex also regularly hosts concerts, festivals and other large events.

 

Hryshko National Botanical Gardens

One of the most underappreciated qualities of Kiev is its natural beauty. The city is filled with lush greenery and beautiful parks. The best place to celebrate the natural beauty of Kiev is at the Hryshko National Botanical Garden. The garden is filled with more than 1,000 different species of flowers and plants. It is also a good idea to check out the two stunning monasteries located at this great attraction.
